THE LOW DOWN, ITCHIN’, SCRATCHIN’, BLUES
Well I’m dang sick of all these fleas, bringin’ my pup dogs to their knees
I got some meds, I combed their hair, bathed them twice but the fleas still there
Well I don’t know me what to do about these new Orleans dog fleas blues
Well summer’s ‘bout here and we’d like to leave but the van ain’t legal and the fleas are pleased…
I GOT THE LOW DOWN
LOW DOWN
I GOT THE LOW DOWN
LOW DOWN
I GOT THE LOW DOWN ITCHIN’, SCRATCHIN’, BLUES
Now, I just may use DDT, concerned about what the side-effects might be
I GOT THE LOW DOWN
LOW DOWN
I GOT THE LOW DOWN
LOW DOWN
I GOT THE LOW DOWN ITCHIN’, SCRATCHIN’, BLUES
Wonderin’ where I get my hands on, One of them atomic bombs…
Used frontline and all the rest, but they seem to be impervious like a bullet proof vest
I got some meds, I combed their hair, bathed them twice but the fleas still there
Well summer’s ‘bout here and we’d like to leave, but the van ain’t legal and the fleas are pleased…

I remember when I first discovered Holy Locust, seeing a live performance that I was having trouble seeing over the heads of Bridge City Sinners lmao! But I have been in love with this album ever since I heard it. My homie has it on in his car constantly. The music is so rich and textured and beautiful, I'll never get over how amazing it is! Truly a masterpiece! werederg
